Clocktower Aesthetics – Part Two
Continuing our look at the rejuvenating facial aesthetic treatments we offer at our Epsom clinic
In our last blog, we took a look at some of our wide selection of facial aesthetic treatments which can be of great benefit to patients who are looking to improve the condition and appearance of their skin. In today’s blog, we conclude this with more information on the rest of our excellent treatments.
Remember, if you become aware of a treatment through a magazine or similar that you don’t see offered here, there is very likely a similar treatment that will achieve the same, or even better results.
The clinicians at the Clocktower Dental, Implant & Facial Centre have a wealth of experience and will be pleased to suggest alternatives to help you achieve your aim.
Profhilo
Perhaps not as well known as some other facial treatments, Profhilo is an injectable hyaluronic acid that can be used for remodelling of skin tissue. It can improve texture and general appearance as well as promoting healthier looking skin. Whilst largely used on the facial area, it can also be used for the neck, arms, hands and knees. Anyone suitable for dermal fillers should be able to take advantage of this treatment.
Dermal fillers
Dermal fillers are widely used by our clinicians to help patients attain a younger looking appearance. They are injected beneath the skin and are used to replace lost collagen that can make areas thin or sag. They are especially useful for restoring the plumpness of your lips when they start to thin, as well as by improving skin elasticity and softening creases and wrinkles that can give you an ageing appearance.
Wrinkle relaxing
One of the most widely used treatments for improving ageing skin, wrinkle relaxants are a safe and effective way of smoothing out lines and wrinkles on the face. Whilst our clinical team can do little about our patients becoming older, we can certainly help you to have smoother and younger looking skin and help to defy the effects of ageing on your appearance.
Lip augmentation
One of the most noticeable changes to our face as we grow older is that our lips start to thin. This is often due to a loss of collagen in that area. Dermal fillers can often be used to correct this but lip augmentation also offers an option that is suitable for some patients. If you are unhappy with the way that your lips look, why not discuss it with the facial aesthetics team at our Epsom clinic who will be only too happy to help.
Hand rejuvenation
While an increasing number of people use facial treatments to look younger, it is often the hands that are a giveaway as to your age. Over time, the skin wrinkles and dries and they lose volume. By using injectable fillers and skin boosting treatments, we can help you to roll back at least some of the years when it comes to the way that your hands look.
LED light therapy
This procedure offers great benefits for those who suffer from a variety of skin problems, including acne, skin redness, rosacea, wrinkles, inflammation and many more. It is an effective skin treatment that uses LED lighting to target deep into the cells of the skin. Different coloured lighting can be used according to the nature of the problem. We can discuss this with you during your consultation with us.
Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
We all sweat; it is a natural and necessary process, but some people sweat excessively and this can be a real problem, especially when it is visible through the clothes that we are wearing. This can cause embarrassment and may lead to people choosing not to socialise. There are a number of ways to reduce this, but for those who have been unable to stop this embarrassing problem, the use of an anti wrinkling agent can help. This works by helping to block the nerve signals that cause the glands from producing too much sweat. It won’t stop you sweating altogether as this would be unhealthy, but should enable you to do so more normally.
Bruxism (teeth grinding)
Although this often falls within the remit of the dental team, it can sometimes be helped with the aid of a special injection into the jaw muscles. This helps to relax the muscle and reduces the habitual grinding of the teeth and clenching of the jaw muscles. You should discuss this with your dentist first of all.
We hope that you found this information useful and if you are unhappy with your appearance, our clinicians are available to offer help and advice to help you receive the most appropriate treatment. If you would like to discuss your problem with one of our facial aesthetics team, you can do so by calling the Clocktower Dental, Implant & Facial Centre on 01372 720136.
